Message Hello,

I just swapped an old-style CAS to a used new-style CAS while troubleshooting a problem on my 94 NA-->TT in which the car, once hot, idles roughly and experiences commanded (ECUTalk readout) idle timing fluctuations between 15* and 30+*BTDC.

After idling the car up to temp, I shut the car down to perform some other work. When I went to hot restart the car, I couldn't get it to fire up.

I did note while under the hood that the CAS housing was quite hot to the touch. I can't remember if the old-style unit that I removed from the vehicle would become hot in operation. Is this normal, or is the used new-style CAS suspect?

Thanks!
